The Philadelphia Phillies baseball club was founded in 1883 and plays in the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's
American League. They play in Citizens Bank which is a baseball-only field located at the former location of Veterans Stadium.
The team has won one World Series Championship in 1980. The Phillies have seen great players and managers play for them over
the years. Sparky Anderson, Steve Carlton, Jimmie Foxx, Ferguson Jenkins, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone,
Lenny Dykstra, Pete Rose and Scott Rolen.
